As soon as warm weather hits, I start dreaming of the beach.
Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be able to stick my toes in the sand this summer. And I know I’m not the only one that’s missing the ocean!
If you’re not able to get away for a vacation this year, why not bring the beach home to your own backyard?

I know that pools are the go-to choice for residential clients. But what if you wanted something a little different? What if you want something a little more like an actual beach?
Louisiana Construction Company is Building Backyard Beaches
Zydeco Construction LLC is here to help. Based out of Maurepas, Louisiana, this crew is ready to bring your vacation a little closer.
It might sound a little crazy, but this company can actually build a miniature beach right in your own backyard. Called “swimming ponds,” these manmade tropical bodies of water are surrounded by sand and filled with crystal blue water.
On top of that, these mini backyard beaches are completely customizable. You can add gazebos, umbrellas, volleyball nets, and even outdoor kitchens.

According to Eric White, the founder of Zydeco Construction, the sky is the limit on your “dream beach.” They can even be as big or small as you want.
“It’s something that for years I would think to myself, ‘what if someone could figure out a way to turn a pond into a paradise?’ I wanted to be able to provide this service and wanted to be the first to do so,” said White. “I did as much research as I could, and applied it to building these ponds.”
White even designed a patented specialty pump for these unique swimming ponds.
“It has always been a dream of mine to do these different things,” said White. “I am all about figuring out a way to make thing happen.”
White said that a project like this starts at around $20,000. It’s hard to estimate a cost on your own backyard beach paradise, as each project is custom.
“Each pond that we do is customized for that area and for the customer,” White continued. “It isn’t something that can be done in a day, they are a true labor of love and I want every customer that comes to me to be happy. We will do something different on every pond we create.”
As of now, Zydeco Construction only services commercial or residential properties in Louisiana.
However, f you don’t happen to live in Louisiana, you’re still in luck.
According to the Zydeco website, you can still purchase a swimming pond design, and then subcontract the digging of the pond and installing of the equipment.
